Most homes get 3–6 months per charge. Motion settings and Wi-Fi strength matter most. Follow the steps below — it takes just a few minutes.

Before you begin#

  • The Halo app and your Wi-Fi password
  • A drill if you are mounting on brick or stucco

Steps#

  1. Check Wi-Fi strength#

    App → Device health. Below −70 dBm drains the battery faster.

  2. Tune motion#

    Use zones and lower sensitivity.

  3. Avoid extreme cold#

    Below 20 °F the battery charges slowly — wired power helps.

Tip

A Wi-Fi extender near the door often doubles battery life.
