Connect Halo to Wi-Fi

Halo needs 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi during setup. You can switch your phone back to 5 GHz afterward. Follow the steps below — it takes just a few minutes.

Before you begin#

  • A Phillips screwdriver and the Halo app
  • Power to your heating system switched off at the breaker

Steps#

  1. Open the Halo app#

    Tap + → Add device → Thermostat.

  2. Choose your network#

    Pick a 2.4 GHz network and enter the password.

  3. Wait for the check mark#

    The thermostat shows a green check mark when it is online.

Tip

Mesh networks: give the 2.4 GHz band its own name during setup if Halo cannot see it.

Still stuck?#

Have your serial number ready (Settings → About on the thermostat, or the label on the back plate).
