# Connect Slack

> Post deployment and incident alerts to the Slack channels your team watches.

The Slack integration posts a message when a deployment succeeds, fails or is promoted to production.

## Install the app

1. Open **Settings → Integrations → Slack**.
2. Click **Add to Slack** and approve the permissions.
3. Pick a default channel, such as `#deploys`.

## Choose which events to post

- Production deployments
- Failed builds
- Preview deployments for pull requests
- Usage alerts

### Per-project channels

Each project can override the default channel in its own settings.
