- **API key**: A secret token that identifies your workspace when you call the REST API.

- **Build**: Turning your source code into files that can be served.
- **Build cache**: Files saved between builds so later deployments finish faster.

- **Custom domain**: Your own address, like `app.example.com`, pointed at a project.

- **Deployment**: One build of your project, available at its own URL.

- **Environment variable**: A setting such as a database URL, kept out of your code.

- **Preview**: A deployment of a branch or pull request, separate from production.
- **Production**: The deployment your visitors see on your main domain.

- **Region**: The data center location where your project runs.

- **Webhook**: An HTTPS request we send to your server when something happens.
- **Workspace**: The home of a team: projects, members and billing.
